McCormack, Ruth L - Age 59, a Portage resident 35 years, formerly of Miller, passed away May 30, 1982 at Porter Memorial Hospital. she was President of Granny's Boutique, a member of Hope Lutheran Church, former owner of Ruth's Knit Shop, former employee of Portage National Bank, she received the Porter County Cancer Society Award of Merit for outstanding volunteer service. Survived by husband, Wally, 4 sons, Michael (Pat) McCormack of Idaho Falls, Bruce of Gary, Paul of Ogden Dunes, Kevin (Susan) Houston, Texas; 1 daughter, Mrs. Kathleen (Tom) Johnsen of Portage; 4 brothers, Sigurd (Florence) Lindstrom of Portage, Roy (Betty) Lindstrom of Portage, Norman (Betty) Lindstom of Miller, Sidney (Leona) Lindstrom of Portage; 12 grandchildren; special friend, Laura McCormack of Portage; niece, Bonnie Gilmore of Portage; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Preceded in death by 2 sisters, Edna and Viola; 2 brothers, Paul and Lennert. Funeral services Thursday, June 3rd at 10 am at the Hope Lutheran Church. Rev. S. L. Klopfer officiating.
