"Tuesday, Feb. 15, the interment of Mrs. George Hoffman took place at Greenwood Cemetery. The service was held at the home in Topeka. Mrs. Hoffman came as a bride in the early '80s, living at the home now belonging to Wm. Uhlrig, until 1904. A son who died in infancy was buried at Greenwood Cemetery. The surviving children who are left with the husband to mourn the loss of mother and wife are, Lizzie Bernritter, Clara McAfoose, Gertrude Mayer, and Elsie, whose last name your reporter did not learn. These daughters spent their entire childhood in Kaw, and their old friends and schoolmates will offer their condolences for the loss of the good woman so well known and liked. To the husband, the many old friends offer their sympathy in his sorrow and loneliness."
