Margaret married the love of her life, Warren Mack, in 1950, and they spent 66 wonderful years together. She was a long-time member of Heritage Bible Church.
Margaret was a graduate of Bob Jones University, earning a Masters in Vocal Performance and a Minor in French. At age 60, she earned her second Masters in Library Science from the University of South Carolina. She taught at both East North Elementary and Bob Jones University, and later in life, she spent many years as the librarian at East North Elementary.
Margaret loved to sing and had perfect pitch. She was a lover of opera, specifically romantic opera, and she was equally a lover of crossword puzzles. You could usually find her with one in her hands.
More than anything, Margaret loved her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and her family, and her selflessness was truly a gift to others, although she stayed very humble. She would care for all of those around her without expectation for anything in return. Serving others gave her great joy and the kindness she showered upon others will surely be missed.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Warren Mack; her children, Steve Mack (Karen), Gary Mack (Gayla), Sharon Mack, and Judy Mack Wynn (Jay); her grandchildren, Aubrey Curtis, Jay Wynn, Andrew Mack, Alaina Mack, Andrea Johnson, Alan Nutter, Justin Nutter, and Evan Nutter; thirteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Margaret is predeceased by five brothers and four sisters.
A memorial service will be held at the Chapel at Woodlawn Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 29th at 6:30pm. A visitation will be held one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Heritage Bible Church, 2005 Old Spartanburg Rd, Greer, SC 29650.
