Janie Cowgill Thomas, 67, of Farnham died Saturday, January 30, at her residence. She was a member of Totuskey Baptist Church, Haynesville. Survived by her husband, James V. Thomas Sr; seven sons, James V. Thomas, Jr., Jeffrey R. Thomas, John L. Thomas, Joseph L. Thomas, Sr., all of Farnham, Jeremy S. Thomas and Jack A. Thomas, both of Maryland and Jay E. Thomas; two daughters, Jennifer L. Kilby of Hayes and Julie M. Crosen of Partlow; a brother, Lee C. Cowgill of California; three sisters, Edna Hawes of Florida, Margaret L. Mack of Greenville, S.C., and Lois Ann Burton of Tallahassee, Fla.; 14 grandchildren. Funeral services were held February 4, at 2 p.m. at Totuskey Baptist Church, Haynesville with Rev. James W. Dunn officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were her sons and sons-in-law; James V. Thomas, Jeffrey R. Thomas, John L. Thomas, Joseph L. Thomas, Sr., Jeremy S. Thomas, Jack A. Thomas, Jay E. Thomas and Robert H. Crosen, Jr.
