Helen Stansell Asbell, 92, formerly of 444 Parkway Drive, died Sunday, July 7, 1996, at Beechwood Health Care Center.
Born July 14, 1903, in New Virginia, Iowa, to James Jr. and Lucy Ann Maine Stansell, she married Jeff R. Asbell on Feb. 5, 1929, in Chicago. He died April 6, 1958, in Pekin. Two sisters and one brother also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, Robert S. of Pekin.
She was a bookkeeper at Herget Bank from 1943 to 1948 and was a phone operator at Pekin Hospital from 1959 until retiring in 1970.
Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
