According to word received here Thursday, Mrs. Sarah Ellen Hughes, 78, died in Portland, Wednesday. Mrs. Hughes, wife of the late John A. Hughes, was formerly a resident of Kalispell but had made her home in Portland for the past 17 years.
She is survived by three sons, Rolland, Gerald, and William of Portland, and one daughter, Lillian of Everett, Washington. The body will be brought to Kalispell for burial, arriving here Saturday evening.
