Death Takes Mrs. Bucknam
Mrs. Susan Emma Bucknam, widow of Warren Bucknam, passed away, last night at 11 o'clock, at the home of her son, Arthur E. Bucknam, 40 Harrison avenue, age 87 years. Mrs. Bucknam had been in her usual health, but was stricken with a shock on Saturday afternoon and never regained consciousness. Mrs. Bucknam had been a resident of Greenwood for many years. For the past twenty years she had made her home with her son and previous to that had lived in the Woodville district for about twenty-eight years. She was a native of South Chelmsford, the daughter of Rev. John Parkhurst and Celia (Burroughs) Parkhurst.
She is survived by her son, Arthur E. Bucknam, a daughter, Miss Gertrude Warren Bucknam of Harrison avenue and three grandchildren, Miss Margaret and Charles Bucknam of Greenwood and Prof. Edward Phelps of Tufts' College, the son of a daughter who passed away two years ago.
Mrs. Bucknam was not affiliated with any orders, but in her more active years was associated with the Universalist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at the home tomorrow afternoon at 2.30 o'clock. Rev. Warren S. Perkins of the Universalist Church will have charge of the services.
