Arthur Bucknam Dies; Former Resident Here
Arthur E. Bucknam, 85, member of a well-known family in the Greenwood section of the town for many years, and since 1934 a resident of Stoneham, passed away, Sunday. Born in Wakefield, the son of Warren F. and Susan E. (Parkhurst) Bucknam, he had been associated with the Maynard Moore Company, automobile trimming manufacturers, Stoneham Square, for many years until his retirement.
His late wife, Rose (Blanchard) Bucknam, who passed away on Christmas night in 1951, was a sister of the late William Blanchard, well-known awning and canvass goods manufacturer, former selectman and president of the Wakefield Chamber of Commerce.
He is survived by a son, Charles W. Bucknam of 18 Fairview ave. Melrose; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Shaw of Stoneham; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the A. E. Finnegan and Son Home for Funerals, 322 Main st. Stoneham, tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. Berwyn Daniels, pastor of the First Congregational Church in Stoneham, will officiate and interment will take place in Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
