Enoch Detweiler" was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, March 7th, 1818. In 1822 his parents moved to Canada and settled a little west of Roseville, Ontario, where he was raised. On January 18th, 1842, he was married to Abigail, daughter of George B. and Mary (Shoemaker) Bechtel. She was born near Pottstown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, October 8th, 1821. After their marriage they moved on his father's old homestead where they resided until his death which took place September 18th, 1874. When a young man he was converted unto the Lord and soon thereafter joined himself with the Mennonite body. On June 5th, 1859, Mr Detweiler was ordained as a minister of the Gospel ...
