BANCROFT-Joseph Clarence Call, 83, Bancroft, died Saturday, October 25, 1975, at the family home of natural causes. He was born October 18, 1892, at Chesterfield, son of Ira and Emma Jane Barlow Call.

He and Myrtle Eliason were married October 10, 1917, at the Salt Lake Temple. She died May 1, 1962. He married Urilla Nelson Tolman March 9, 1964, at the Logan Utah Temple. He was an electrical engineer and farmer at Bancroft many years. He was a WWI veteran and served on the Bancroft City Council and as chairman of the Bancroft School Board two terms. He was a member of the Bancroft Lions Club and the Farm Bureau.

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served as bishop of the Bancroft Ward 14 years and was an Idaho Stake clerk and an Idaho Stake patriarch since 1951. He was a life member of the Genealogical Society of Utah since 1934.

Survivors are his widow, of Bancroft; sons, Lowell of Orem, Utah, Melvin of Idaho Falls, and Clarence of Sacramento, Calif., daughters Mrs. Bert (Betty Jean) Marley of McCammon, Mrs. Preston (Myrtle) Cook of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Mrs. J. Gordon (Erla) Knudsen of Provo, Utah; 33 grandchildren and 19 greatgrandchildren; stepchildren, Gerald Tolman, and Mrs. Stanley (Kathleen) Wistisen of Bancroft, Roscoe Tolman of Ellensburg, Wash., Marvin Tolman of Spanish - Fork, Utah, Ronald Tolman of Tucson, Arizona, and Mrs. DeLoy (Myrtle Rae) Parker of Pocatello; six sisters, Mrs. Mary Litton, of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Elizabeth Smith of Sacramento, Calif., Mrs. Hazel Maharry of Yuba City, Calif., Mrs. Laura H. Jensen of West Jordan, Utah, and Mrs. Myrtle Phillips and Mrs. Luella Everell, both of Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Bancroft Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Allen Funeral Home in Soda Springs today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and at the ward chapel after noon on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Bancroft Cemetery.
