MOORESVILLE - Mrs. Della Lorena Sherrill, 85, 158 W. McNeely Ave., died in Lowrance Hospital on Sunday.
She was born Aug. 8, 1890, in Alexander County, to the late Jacob H. and Laura Ann Lesley Moose. her husband, Charlie Elmer Sherrill, died in 1938.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lottie Carver, Mrs. Bertha Cline and Mrs. Sam Deaton, all of Mooresville; two sisters, Mrs. Marion Hager of Stanley and Mrs. A. D. Hager of Newton; seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Cavin Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Kenneth M. Johnson, Sr., and Rev. Arnold Corriher officiating. Burial will be in the Old Williamson Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
