She was born on April 15, 1933, in Shelbyville, Illinois, to David and Lena (Eigsti) Ulrich. She married Ben E. Nofsinger Jr. on March 22, 1951. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2005.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert (January 1993); four brothers, Arthur, Les, Edward and Chris; two sisters, Josephine and Pearl; and an infant brother and sister.
Ben and Ada raised five children, Donna (Tom) Rineman of Central Point, Oregon, Loren (Karen) of Kentwood, Michigan, Gary (Chris) of Marcellus, Michigan, and Robert and David (Dara) of Kalamazoo, Michigan. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Ada was active in the community and her church, Metamora Mennonite Church, where she was a member all of her married life. In her later years, she served the church as the Minister of Visitation. She served as the Washington Township Clerk for 25 years and was on the Washington Township Board of Trustees.
A burial service will be at the Union Cemetery, near the home where the family lived for years.
