Funeral services for Mary Ann “Nana” Wright Hoot, 55, of Corrigan, Texas, will be held Friday, February 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Corrigan, Texas with Pastor Leslie Wilkinson, Bro. Rex Hoot, and Bro. Phillip Corbett officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in the Barnum Community in Polk County, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Corrigan, Texas.
Ms. Hoot was born November 4, 1961 in Corrigan, Texas to parents, John William Wright and Charlotte Faye (Jeffers) Wright, and passed away on February 13, 2017 in Lufkin, Texas. She is preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Hoot II and wife, Janice of Lufkin, Texas; daughter, Julia Hoot-McGinty of Huntington, Texas; son, John Hoot of Corrigan, Texas; boyfriend, Steve Triana of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandchildren, Kristyn Smith, Katlyn Smith, Caleb Hoot, Mitchael Hoot, Reagan McGinty, and Lillian “Lilli” McGinty; mom, Charlotte Wright of Corrigan, Texas; sisters, Carolyn Mitchmore and husband, Clarence of Corrigan, Texas and Linda Hendry and husband, Randy of Corrigan, Texas; brother, John Wright and wife, Connie of South Port, North Carolina; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
