Pete was born October 27, 1944, at his house on the hill in Holmes Bay that overlooked the ocean - the youngest child to the late Elmer B. and Frances E. (Preston) Look. Until recently when poor health caused him to move, he spent all of his life at that family home that he loved. Pete was a hard worker and worked a variety of jobs over the years. He would often times be seen hitch hiking to and from Machias where he was employed. He was very proud of his independence and his successes in his life. Pete loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them or chatting with them on the phone. He also loved his “legion family” and the time that he spent there in Machias. He left his earthly home to join those who had gone before him on February 3, 2017. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters; Marjorie, Marguerite, Doris, Harvey, Madeline, Charles, James, Richard and Joyce. He is survived by a brother, Orville “Lucky” Look and wife Fran of CT and a sister, Sandra Look Beal and husband Donald of Cutler as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws. He leaves behind special friends Ike Hubbard and Danny and Lance Donaghy along with many other friends at the American Legion, Post #9 in Machias. Special thanks to Marshall Healthcare for taking such good care of him - particularly to Connie and Trudy, whom he loved very much. His burial was private but a celebration of his life will be held in the Spring. Arrangements by McClure Family Funeral Home
