She d. circa 1906 in Choctaw Indian Territory west of Fort Smith, Arkansas, now LeFlore County, Oklahoma. One year after her death, on June 30, 1907 the former Choctaw Indian Territory became part of the State of Oklahoma. She is interred in an unmarked grave at Macedonia Cemetery near Pocola, LeFlore County.

On May 28, 1899 of record at Sebastian County (i.e., Fort Smith), Arkansas, "Annie Nessmith" age 15, m. Otis McLemore age 20 (sic, 18), s. of William Allen McLemore and Seletia Craft, b. The June 1900 census placed Otis, called a farmer, and wife Annie as residing within Township 10 North, Range 27 East in the Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory. The corresponding location is the northeasternmost irregular shaped "short" township (U.S. Government Survey System) in present-day LeFlore County, Oklahoma. It is adjacent west to the City of Fort Smith, Arkansas with the township irregularly bounded on the north and northwest by the Arkansas River.

Otis and Annie had four children, the first two, probably twins, were born in May 1900, but neither twin has a known name. One twin likely died at birth, the other appears as an unnamed female child less than 1 month old in the June 1900 census of the family, Annie stated to be the mother of 2 children of which only 1 was living. The surviving twin likely died soon as no further record is known of her. Two additional surviving children were born before Annie's death:
