Evelyn June Brown, nee Arlington was born in Buffalo, New York on June 22, 1930. She was the third oldest born to Archie Madison Arlington and Mildred Marion Gardner. She was predeceased by all her siblings: Marilyn May Hossenlopp, Ruth Nero, Shirley Neihl, Robert Arlington, Donald Arlington and Ronald Arlington. She was also predeceased by her only son, Richard Scott Brown, Jr. and son-in-law Ronald Ernest Brown.

Evelyn met Richard Scott Brown in 1948 and they were married on June 10, 1950 in Buffalo. Together they had 6 children: Linda Lee Califf, Richard Scott Brown, Jr. Suzanne Lynn Brown, Roseanne Marie Powell, Annie Louise Hicks and Colleen Patricia Maresca. They lived in Buffalo until late summer of 1966 and then moved to Miami, FL.

Evelyn was a stay at home Mom until she went back to work as a Dental Assistant in 1978. She worked for Dr. H.L. Lawson and also for Dr. Andrea Diamond until her retirement in 1999. Evelyn and Dick also were big in the Bluegrass music scene in Miami where they danced professionally as the Bluegrass Buckaroos performing the Tennessee Buck Dance. They also were founding members of the Southeastern Bluegrass Association in Miami. After retirement, she and Dick moved first to Gainesville, FL and then to High Springs, FL where she and Dick built their own dream home in their late 60's to early 70's. They were quite proud that they did all this together with their own two hands.

Evelyn and Dick were married for over 66 1/2 years. They were just as in love til the end as they were the day they married. They even renewed their vows on their 50th Anniversary.

With these children also came "adopted" grandchildren: Gabriella and Genevieve Dangler, Zack and Zane Arnold, Kayla Irving and JT and Casey-Marie Conlin.
