Singer. She was a part of the The Roches, a sister folk trio who were known for their "unusual and rich harmonies", quirky lyrics, and casually comedic stage performances. In the late 1960s, she, along with sister Terre, quit school to tour as a duo. They were recruited by Paul Simon in 1973 to be backup singers on his album "There Goes Rhymin' Simon". In 1975 they released their first album "Seductive Reasoning" and shortly afterwards, were joined by sister Suzzy as a singing trio. In 1979 the trio released their first album "The Roches". They would go on to release a dozen more albums either as a trio or in assorted duos. They went on to appear on such television shows as "Saturday Night Live" and "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson". Although they never became best-sellers, they won over fans with their distinctive blend of vocal harmonies, quirky sense of humor and witty lyrics. They released their last album "Can We Go Home Now" in 1995 and two years later they put their group on long-term hold. The three sisters continued to individually work in the music industry and in 2007 as a trio, released a new album "Moonstruck". She passed away after a long battle with cancer.
