John W. Van Meter, 80, passed on at his home, 641 NE 15 Friday morning, Aug 13. He is survived by his wife, Mrs Ione R. Van Meter, home address; and his sister, Mrs Andrew Pinkney, Peoria, IL. Funeral services will be held at First Uniterian Church, Rev. A. E. Van Still officiating, Monday, Aug 16 at 12:15 noon. Interment in Rose Hill Abbey under direction of Jack Jones. Flowers graciously declined. Body will lie in state at Jones Mortuary from 2-9 pm. Casket will not be opened at services.
