Martin, Mary ~ Passed away peacefully at her residence, RR 2, Wallenstein, on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at the age of 97 years. Mary (Wideman) Martin was the beloved wife of the late Angus Martin (1999). Dear mother of Lorene and Cleon Martin of Wallenstein, Vernon and Anna of Elmira, Murray and Lucinda of RR 2, Wallenstein, Delton of Elmira, and Florence Martin of Floradale. Grandmother of 25 grandchildren and 95 great-grandchildren. Survived by her brother Ephriam (the late Ruth) Wideman, sisters Erma (the late Milton) Martin and Wilma (the late Alvin) Martin, son-in-law Nathan Showalter, and brother-in-law Milton (Susannah) Bauman. Predeceased by twin sons in infancy, daughter Clara Showalter, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, parents Elias and Lydiann (Martin) Wideman, seven brothers, and two sisters. Visitation will take place on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 2-5 p.m. at the home of Murray Martin, 6686 Road 18, RR 2, Wallenstein. A family service will be held at the home on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 9 a.m. then to Olivet Mennonite Meeting House for interment and public service.
