Alma Nerdahl Rustad, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Nerdahl was born January 15, 1920, at Granite Falls. She was a graduate of the Granite Falls High School in 1939.
On December 25, 1942, she was united in marriage to Oscar Rustad of Sacred Heart, who was in the service at the time. For the first year of their marriage they lived in Louisville, Kentucky. The remaining years of her life were spent in Sacred Heart, where for a time she and her husband were in the cafe business. The business places were closed during the funeral in respect to her memory.
Surviving Mrs. Rustad are her husband; her nephew David Nerdahl, of whom she and her husband have had legal custody for eleven years; and by six brothers: Les and Earl of Minneapolis, Howard of Dent, Floyd of Granite Falls, Robert of Montevideo, and David of Peoria, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Beulah.
Mrs. Rustad was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith at Trinity Lutheran Church of Sacred Heart by Pastor M.E. Helland, in which church she remained a member until the time of her death.
