Garrett Musch, 88, of DeMotte, Indiana, went to meet his Lord surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in Crown Point. Garrett was born on December 17, 1928 in Fair Oaks, Indiana, the son of Martin and Hilda (Bennema) Musch. Garrett went to Roselawn Public Schools and was self-employed as a farmer. He married Evelyn DeYoung who passed on October 15, 1989 and later married Evelyn L. DeJong who survives. Garrett was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church of DeMotte. He was an active hobbyist. He enjoyed attending flea markets and looking for a good deal. He also enjoyed wintering in Texas.
Garrett is survived by his wife, Evelyn Musch; 6 children: Harvey (Susan) Musch, Glenn (Cindy) Musch, Janet (Tim) Curless, Deborah (Richard) Gusman, Martin (Sonja) Musch, Rhonda (Brian) Nannenga; 19 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; step-children: Brenda (Randy) Slager, Michael (Valarie) Sheets, Jerry Sheets; 6 step-grandchildren; siblings: Gerald "Bud" (Gloria) Musch, Evelyn Terbord and Marge Kaluf. Garrett was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 2 great grandchildren.
