The many friends in Orrington and Bangor of Mrs. Lydia M. Smith, wife of Richard W. Knowlton, will regret to learn of her death which occurred on Wednesday in Sunset, Me. She leaves besides her husband three children and an aged father, Frank Smith, who lives in Orrington. She is also survived by four brothers and one sister, Loumas [sic] of Orrington, Leroy Smith of Brewer, Will B. and Edward Smith of the firm of Will B. Smith & Co. of Bangor, and Mrs. Amanda Douty [sic] of Providence, R.I. She was 39 years and seven months old.
