William Anderson Austin, Jr., age 89, of Sugar Land, TX, and formerly of Lubbock, TX entered eternal life on Friday, January 12, 2007 in Sugar Land, TX.
He was born Thursday March 22, 1917 in Richland, NM and was the son of William Anderson Austin and Nellie Partin Austin. He was united in marriage to Ora Lee Fisher of Lubbock on September 24, 1938. They were married for sixty years, two months, and five days when Ora Lee preceded him in death on November 29, 1998.
A daughter Charlotte Marie Bailey preceded him in death on March 8, 1984. Two sisters, Viola Walker and Serena Johnston; and seven brothers, Alvie Austin, B.T. Austin C.P. Austin, Cecil Austin, George Austin, Russell Austin and Guy Austin, also preceded him in death;
Those left to cherish his memory include five grandchildren, Pam Dean, Cody Dean, Tohi White, Ronald Bailey and Donald Bailey; eight great grand-children, Scott and Michael Dean; Collin, Cameron, and Chandler White; and Chloe, Brooklyn, and Dax Bailey. three sisters, Margaret Watts of Phoenix, AZ, Meretta Houlette of El Paso and Emma Powell of Houston; three brothers, Donis Austin, of Houston, Partin Austin of Shawnee, OK and Donal Austin of Lubbock; Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2007 at 2:00p.m. Westwood Evangelism Center with the Pastor Steve Shaw officiating. Mr. Austin will be laid to rest with his beloved wife and daughter following the service at Resthaven Memorial Park. Resthaven Funeral Home of Lubbock is handling arrangements.
