Daniel Carroll (1889 - 1920) died at Jervis Street Hospital, Dublin 0n 23 November 1920, two days after having been shot in the thigh on 21 November 1920 at Jones Road, Dublin by a soldier while he was walking away form Croke Park. He was the 13th of 14 people to die as a result of Bloody Sunday when soldiers killed 14 people at a Gaelic football challenge match between Tipperary and Dublin.
