Ethel Bowman Martin, 75, formerly of Laurel Fork, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the home of her daughter in Kernersville, NC. She was born in Laurel Fork, Virginia to the late Verna and Vernon Bowman. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Martin was also preceded in death by her husband, Marlin Martin, and her two brothers Robert Bowman and James "Jack" Bowman.

Survivors include: her four children, Rebecca McCollum, of Kernersville, NC, Perry Martin, of Coconut Creek, FL, Dana Martin, of Ararat, VA, and Kevin Martin of Charlotte, NC; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Peg Brady, of Atlanta, GA, and Bennie Strickland, of Laurel Fork, VA; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with burial will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Rome Cemetery at 2:00 PM with Rev. Terry McMillian officiating. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to your local hospice organization. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
