Catherine (sic) A., daughter of Herman and Sabilla Rasque, was born on a farm near Muscoda, September 13th, 1872. She passed all her early life at the farm home and had the usual experiences common to the generality of mankind. An important part of her early education at home was the acquisition of the knowledge of home making in all Its important branches. She married Oscar L. Brady September 11th, 1901, having become a resident of Bloomington several years previously. This, union was congenial in every way, and life had much interest and pleasure for them. One daughter, Helen Marjorie, was born to them. They established a comfortable new home, and everything seemed promising for a long life of use fulness. But ill health came to interrupt the well-ordered progress of daily events. Five months ago, Mrs. Brady was taken with the malady that terminated fatally. All that medical skill and tender care could do was done, but with no lasting benefit. During all those weary months she was ever patient and solicitous for the comfort of others. She passed away Sunday morning, June 30th, 1918. Besides the husband and daughter, she is survived by two brothers, Herman and Matt Rasque of Muscoda, and four sisters, Mrs. Etta Wright of Redfield, S. D., Mrs. Mary Gabel of Illinois, Mrs. Isabel Hemphill of Platteville, Mrs. Phenie Sikhart and Mrs. Garret Imhoff of Muscoda. The parents and one brother, Constant Rasque of Blue River, and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Gabel, are deceased. Mrs. Brady was a lady of pleasant, kindly temperament, and had a host of friends. Her greatest interest centered in her home and family, where her best thought and energy were lavished with untiring affection. And in that home the appreciation of her worth and virtues will remain through all the coming years. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's church Tuesday, July 2nd, Rev. A. M. Arentz officiating. A large congregation of friends and neighbors attended, and by their presence and attention extended sympathy to the bereaved family. Burial occurred in the family lot at Muscoda, beside the loved ones gone before.
