Norwegian king. He was King of Norway from 1093 and also King of Dublin for a year from 1102. His reign is known for his major military expeditions and conquests in provinces between Norway and Sweden, and especially areas of the British Isles which had been taken over by Norsemen. He joined the rulers of Denmark and Sweden in 1101 for the famous Three King's Meeting where he was introduced to King Ingold the Elder's daughter, Swedish Princess Margaret Colleen-of-Peace, the meeting's hostess, and married her. They had three known sons and two daughters, he also having more offspring with other women. There is a modern Royal Summit monument with a statue of the three kings in Kungälv, Sweden. He was assassinated near River Quoile in Ulster while on his second Irish campaign.
