A daughter of James and Elizabeth McAnally Davis. Louretta never married. An article in the Danbury Reporter indicates that "Miss Luretta Davis" was a native of Red Shoals, and that she died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Hollingsworth, in Mt. Airy. She was survived by three sisters, Emily Carolina (Mrs. Hiram Adkins), Mrs. Nancy Pitzer, both of Red Shoals, and Mrs. Hollingsworth of Mt. Airy at the time of her death.
