Lynn Alice Cousino, 60, of Goose Creek, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at her home with family present.
She was born in Danbury, CT to the late Robert Sr. and Alice Grant. Lynn graduated from Danbury High School and received her Bachelor's degree from Limestone College. Lynn was a U.S. Navy veteran. She worked in procurement for chemical distributors Bayer, Lanxess, StarChem and Brenntag. Ninny, as she was lovingly called, was a member of the Cross Stitch Pals group and enjoyed their annual retreats in Myrtle Beach. In addition, to this favorite hobby, she also enjoyed to read.
Lynn was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Michael Cousino of Goose Creek; son Patrick R. Cousino of Charleston; daughters, Sarah L Trapp (Ben) and Miriam J. Cousino both of Summerville; sisters, Rebecca Lutrus (Paul) of Vermont, Gail Grant of Connecticut, and Christina Davenport (Garry) of Georgia; twin brother Roger Grant of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Janice Grant of Connecticut; grandchildren, Katelin, Tyler, Breanna, Michael, Aiden, and Alyssa; and many nieces, nephews, and loving family members.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Robert Jack Grant, Jr.
A visitation will be held, Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel. A Rosary and prayer service will be at 7:30 pm.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek.
The family would like to thank the staff of Lowcountry Hematology and Oncology, particularly Dr. Jeffrey Rose and his nurse staff for their compassionate and dedicated care over the past two years. A special mention of best friend Myra Gordon for always being there for Lynn.
Memorials may be offered to Immaculate Conception Church Organ Fund, the American Cancer Society, Piedmont Hospice LLC, or a charity of choice.
