OBITUARY
DIED: Elizabeth, wife of Nicholas Kitt, July 31, 1888, aged 62 years, 10 months and 18 days.
Elizabeth Childs was born in Ohio Sept. 13, 1825, and moved to Indiana in 1848 where she was married to Mr. Nicholas Kitt in 1849. They moved to Marion Co., Iowa in 1855, and to this county in 1856. Mrs. Kitt gave her heart to Jesus in girlhood and has always been a faithful worker in the christian cause. She has been a faithful wife and loving mother. She leaves a husband, two sons and one daughter and seven grandchildren and a friend in every one who knew her, to mourn her departure.
The funeral services were held at her home and were conducted by Rev. W. H. Records. A very large concourse of friends were present.
