J.W. “ Dub”, 102, of Louisville passed away Tuesday November 22nd, 2016 at Baptist Health Louisville with his family by his side.
Dub was retired from G.E. and a U.S. Marine veteran , and a member of Woodland Baptist Church.
Dub was preceded in death by his loving wife; Mary Buckmaster Abbott.
He is survived by his children; Tom Abbott (Diane), Jimmy Abbott (Jean), and JoAnn Methner (Don) and 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
His funeral service will be 11:00AM Saturday November 26th, 2016 at Ratterman Funeral Home 12900 Shelbyvillle Rd. East Louisville, KY 40243 with burial in Historic Middletown Cemetery to follow.
Visitation will be 6:00PM to 8:00PM Friday November 25th, 2016 and 10:00AM until time of service Saturday November 26th, 2016 at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be donated to the “Building Fund” at Woodland Baptist Church in J.W. “Dub” Abbott’s honor.
