Her marriage on December 31, 1902, to Simon T. Bohn took place in the Little Cedar Lutheran Church, Adams, Minnesota, Pastor William A. Rasmussen officiating. Two children were born to this union: Helen, now Mrs. O.T. Anderson of Adams and Theodore Bohn of Mason City, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Bohn lived on their farm in Clayton Township until April of 1941 when they moved to Adams. They became members of the Marshall Lutheran Church in 1912 and have always retained their membership there. Mrs. Bohn was active in the Ladies' Aid and in the Ruth Society.
Her death occurred early Thursday morning, January 11, at the age of 67 years, 8 months, and 6 days. Returning from an errand downtown, she was stricken with a cerebral hemorrhage early Wednesday evening, and remained in a coma throughout the night. Her sudden and unexpected passing brought grief to a wide circle of friends and relatives. To her husband, who knew her as a true helpmate, to her children who knew her as a loving mother, to her sisters and brother to whom she was very close, and to countless others, her memory will be sacred and precious. It can be said of her as the book of Proverbs states, "She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness."
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, January 16 at 1:00 o'clock from the home in Adams, and at 1:30 from the Marshall Lutheran Church, Rev. M.L. Witte, pastor. Music was provided by Mrs. H.E. Osmundson and Mrs. E.S. Anderson who sang at the home and also at the church. Mr. R.S. Ruud also presented a vocal solo at the church. Mrs. Everett Boe was the organist. Pallbearers were Sam Swenson, J.F. Schneider, Glenn Hanson, Bernie Hegge, Albert Finbraaten, J.A. Ramseth, Melvin Lewison, and Harrison Hines. The Adams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The Marshall Lutheran Ladies' Aid furnished lunch following the services at the graveside. The large number in attendance at the funeral, in addition to the many memorials given to the institutions and benevolences of the church, as well as the floral tributes, bear witness to the many that held her in high esteem.
