Liberty City, TX - Stephen Ray Krantz, 69, died Friday, November 11, 2016, at his home following an illness.
Steve leaves his son, Todd Krantz and wife, Julie, of Oak Harbor, WA, three grandchildren, Alex, Maya, and Nick, his longtime companion, Shirley King, of Liberty City, TX, brothers Dallas Krantz, Tim Krantz, Mike Krantz (Carla), sister Cheryl Yeggy (Larry), nephews, nieces, and many friends.
Raised in Riverside, IA, Steve spent most of his life in his home state of Iowa. He moved to the Longview, TX, area in 1994.
Working in car sales for many years, Steve was a small business owner in both Iowa and Texas. He had a passion for fishing and hunting. Enjoying the outdoors, Steve loved spending time on his boat or at his deer camp. He used to play guitar and sing for fun and recreation, and his songs will be missed. He took numerous road trips to visit family, especially grandkids, and friends. Steve will be sorely missed.
Steve was preceded in death by his beloved son, Troy Krantz, parents Ernie and Isabelle Krantz, and brother Ronnie Krantz. Steve will later be laid to rest at Washington Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, IA. Family has requested any donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
