SHELBY — Mr. Herbert "Herb" Langston Sr., 90, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
A native of Laurens, S.C., Mr. Langston was the son of the late Joseph Lee and Mary Patterson Langston. He retired from Alba-Waldensian in Valdese and was a member of Lafayette Street United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou McCurry Langston, and a sister, Mary Lee Langston Martin.
He is survived by a son, Herb Langston Jr. of Mount Holly and a daughter, Gail Langston of Boiling Springs; a granddaughter, Brittanie Langston and her fiancé, Casey McElwaine, of Mount Holly; and his faithful canine companion, Duffie.
Burial: Cleveland Memorial Park
