Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Channing United Methodist Church with George Chambers, minister of Lakeview United Methodist Church in Dalhart, officiating. Burial will be in Channing Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart.
Mrs. Smith was born Feb. 23, 1923, in Electra to Lawrence L. and Minnie Hoppie Smith. She was a longtime resident of Hartley County, served two terms as county treasurer and owned and operated Channing Drug Store.
Survivors include a daughter, Susie Overton of Dumas; a son, Terry Allison of Los Lunas; a brother, Pete Smith of Andrews; four granddaughters; and numerous great-grandchildren.
