Richard Wayne Fraker went home to be with the Lord on January 2nd, 2007. Rich passed away at home after a courageous 18 year battle against Prostate Cancer. He was born on April 12th, 1934 in Julesburg, Colorado to Marcus and Nellie Fraker. He was the fourth child of five boys and lived for 72 years. Rich married Marian Gunther December 26th, 1954 in Greeley, Colorado. They were blessed with their daughter Pamela. He is survived by Marian and Pamela, son-in-law John Marks, step-grand-daughter Aubrie Marks, and his brothers Bob and Don Fraker. Rich was preceded in death by his brothers Mark and Paul Fraker. He lived in Colorado Springs since 1967. He grew up on a farm near Greeley, Colorado and loved to hunt and fish and spend time in the outdoors. He graduated from Windsor High School in 1953. He worked in the oil fields as a roustabout and then hired on with Mountain Bell in 1955. He worked as a telecommunications technician until his retirement in 1989. He was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He owned his own business named RichMar after retirement doing telephone equipment installation and service. He also served on a supervisory committee for Mountain Bell Credit Union from 1993 to 2001. He volunteered at KTLF helping each year with phone installation for Sharathon Drives. Rich was a member of Pulpit Rock Church and served as head usher. Rich was loved by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 9th, 2007 at Pulpit Rock Church, 301 Austin Bluffs Parkway, Colorado Springs.
