Ed Griswold, native of Madison county, and former Winterset druggist, died in Des Moines Saturday, March 7th at the age of 93 years. Mr. Griswold, a son of Martin and Mary Griswold who came to Madison county in 1886 was raised on the family farm in Penn township.

He operated a drug store in Winterset for a number of years and 50 years ago, moved to Des Moines, where he continued in the drug business as long as his health permitted. He was a brother of the late D. M. Griswold of Winterset.

He is survived by three children, Leland Griswold of Tucson, Arizona, and Harry Griswold and Mrs. Delia Klein of Des Moines. The wife and mother preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held in Des Moines the following Monday and burial was in the Dexter cemetery.
