Christiena or Christina was the 8th of 12 children of of Daniel Kepple and Elizabeth Yerian of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. She was baptized in the Brush Creek Lutheran Church on August 6, 1809, sponsors John and Susanna Klingenschmidt.
She married to Henry Owens.
Christina is listed in the 1850 census of Kiskiminetas Township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, as a widow with 11 children.
