NAMPA — Services for James W. Pollock, 77, of 207 16th Ave. N., who died Friday at his home, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Nampa by the Rev. Richard C. Steward, pastor of the Church of the Open Door. Interment will be at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, with military honors by officers of War Eagle Barracks No. 459, Veterans of World War I.
Mr. Pollock was born June 6, 1894 at Utica, Neb., where he was reared and attended schools. He served in the Army during World War I. He came to Idaho in 1921, and with his parents operated a grocery store in Nampa for several years. He also had farmed for a time in the Gleans Ferry and Council areas, later returning to Nampa, where he resided until his death.
He was a member of War Eagle Barracks No. 459, Veterans of World War I.
He is survived by three sons, Gerald L. Pollock of Healy, Alaska, Duane (Duke) Pollock of Nampa and James A. Pollock of Caldwell; two brothers, Ralph Pollock of Waco, Neb. and Harold (Lee) Pollock of Snoqualmie, Wash.; and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lew Stanley, Jim Law, John Schuller, J. Ed Anderson, Ben Howard and John Alexander.
Friends may call at the chapel today and until time of services on Wednesday.
