LLOYD FRASER TWEEDY, age 79, of Snow Hill, Maryland, formerly of Hingham, died unexpectedly of natural causes, Thursday, March 24th, 2005 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD. Born in Chicago, Illinois on January 28th, 1926, he was the youngest of four sons of the late Albert William and Rosalie Mayer Tweedy and spent his early life in Hingham. Mr. Tweedy was a U.S. Navy Veteran. His memberships include: Snow Hill Rotary, Directors Guild of America and All Hallows Episcopal Church in Snow Hill where he had served as vestryman. He was a volunteer at WESM in the reading radio network for the visually impaired. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Alice Merwin Tweedy of Snow Hill; a son, William Lloyd Tweedy and his wife, Susan of Stamford, CT; a daughter, Margaret Tweedy Drazek and her husband Gregory of New Dehli, India; and a granddaughter, Catherine Alice Tweedy. He was predeceased by his three brothers; Robert, William and Jack Tweedy. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 30th at 2 PM at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, 172 Main St. Hingham. Interment to follow in the High Street Cemetery, Hingham. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to All Hallows Parish, 109 W. Market St., Snow Hill, MA 21863.
