Genevieve Billings Vickers age 89 of Smithville, Tennessee, passed away Monday, November 7, 2016 of an extended illness. She was born December 22, 1926 to the late Charlie Billings and Ollie Pack Billings. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Doris Vickers.
Ms. Genevieve was a member of the Smithville First Baptist Church, Avon Sales Lady, former secretary with the Corp of Engineers and Smithville Electric and worked part-time at Sligo Boat Dock.
Survivors include her son, Jimmie D. 'Butch' Vickers, Jr. and wife, Sandra of Dekalb County; 3 grandchildren, Cory Vickers, Tisha Burns and Melanie Johnston; 2 great-grandchildren, Dylan Burns and Hannah Groshon;
caregivers, Linda Thomas, Linda Knowles, Ashley Perry and Vickie Dial.
Services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bill Robertson officiating and interment to follow in the
DeKalb Memorial Gardens.
