Otis G. Earp Is Dead at 73
Otis G. Earp, 73, of 209 Walnut st., West Des Moines, died early Thursday in Iowa Methodist hospital of pneumonia following an operation May 28 to remove his right foot and ankle, which were crushed in an accident while working at the Flint Crushed Gravel Co.

Mr. Earp had been employed by the Flint company for 15 years. He formerly farmed for 26 years near Waukee, Ia., and Van Meter, Ia. He came to Iowa from Missouri, his native state.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Valley funeral home. Burial will be at Van Meter later in the afternoon.

Surviving are his widow; three sons, Harold and Everett Earp, both of West Des Moines, and Frank Earp of Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Kelly of West Des Moines and Mrs. Fannie Grimes of Montebello, Cal; a brother, Joe Earp of Earlham, Ia.; three sisters, Mrs. Fannie Johnson of Earlham, Ia.; Mrs. Annie Clearwater of Van Meter, Ia., and Mrs. Lucy Day of Onaga, Kan.; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
