Thompson Weddle was the 5th child of Thomas & Rosamond [Wallen]Weddle. He moved from Vigo County, Indiana in about 1860 to McDonald County Missouri. His wife, Sarah Miles, proceeded him in death in 1870. His grave stone lists his children names: Harmon, Thomas, Elizabeth, Daniel, Joseph, John, Nancy, David [Weddel], Hiram, Mary, Sara and William. Daughter-in-law Sarah Testerman Weddle is buried in a adjacent grave [Hiram's wife]. The pictured cenotaph was erected in 2005. Thompson's grandson Albert Weddel [sic]is buried adjacent to the cenotaph.
