OCTOBER 30, 1938 ~ JANUARY 31, 2019 (AGE 80)

Ms. Elizabeth Sweat Lowery, age 80, of Macclenny, Florida went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 31, 2019. She passed away at her home with her family by her side. She was born on October 30, 1938 to the late Alfred Sweat and the late Polly Crews Sweat. Ms. Lowery was a life long resident of Baker County and worked as a bookkeeper with NEFSH and Moyer Marble and Tile until her retirement. She also helped out in the family business, Lowery's Building Supplies of Macclenny, Florida. Ms. Lowery was a member of the Raiford Road Church and one of the first 35 members of Raiford Road Church, making her a lifetime member. She also started the "Widow's Mite Ministry" at Raiford Road Church years later. She enjoyed listening to southern gospel music, loved fishing, and most importantly, her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Jimmie Lowery; both parents; and brothers, Frank, Henry, Leroy and Robert Sweat.

Ms. Lowery is survived by her children, Brian Lowery, Cheryl (Scott) Nunn, Elaine (Johnny) Kirkland and Lorraine (Mark) Norman all of Macclenny, Florida: Eleven grandchildren, Kishia, Brandy, Debra, Lindsey, Curtis, Cason, Lesley, Jason, Jessi, Nikki and Jonathon: 18 great-grandchildren: sisters, Ruby Anderson of Macclenny, Fla., Barbara (Dave) Hohmann of Munford, TN, Ola Mae Sweat of Macclenny, Florida and Pencie (Dan) Roberts of Lake City, Fla.: Sister-in-laws, Kathy Sweat, Konnie Sweat and Bonnie Griffis all of Macclenny, Florida: Brother-in-law, Mark Lowery of Waldo, Fla.: numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service to honor the life of Ms. Lowery will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, Feb. 3, in the Raiford Road Church, Macclenny, Florida. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Saturday, Feb. 2, from 6 to 8 P.M. at the church. Her interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Macclenny, Florida.

Services will be officiated by Rev. Johnny Raulerson, Pastor of Raiford Road Church, Rev. Eddie Griffis, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Cuyler and Rev. Tommy Dale Johnson.
