Lillie Henington, 85, of McAlester, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2016, at McAlester Regional Health Center. Lillie was born on April 12, 1931, in Savanna, to Dock Sr. and Mabel (Simpson) Nail. She grew up in the Peaceable area, attending school in Savanna. She married Lewis Henington on June 17, 1949, in McAlester. They made their home in Sulphur, where Lillie worked at the Artesian Nursing Home for over 20 years until her retirement. They moved back to McAlester in 1993. Lillie enjoyed doing crochet work and activities with her family, such as camping, fishing and cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Zettilee Nail, and a granddaughter, Regina England. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at Brumley-Mills Chapel with Pastor J.P. Hackler officiating. Burial will be at Blanco Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of McAlester. Pallbearers will be her 12 grandsons.
