Born in Greenville, daughter of the late Silas Berry and Lois Forest Anderson; widow of James Vasco Eberhardt.
Member of West Gantt First Baptist Church in Greenville and a homemaker who devoted her life to her family.
A native of Greenville County, she lived her final years in Spartanburg with her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Jim Brady.
A strong Christian wife, mother, sister, and friend who set a Christian example for all who knew her. She lived and died with grace and dignity and will be greatly missed.
Survived by three children, Judy Thackson (Wendell), Peggy Brady (Jim); and James M. Eberhardt (Enid); six grandchildren, Melanie Bagwell (Brian), Brian Eberhardt (Eve), Maria DeWitt, Dan Carroll (Kelly), Melody Brady Nease (Eric), and Samantha Brady; 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Jean James; a brother-in-law, Ken Eberhardt (Bobbie); a sister-in-law, Sue Sebastian; and her beloved pet, 'Miss Kitty'.
In addition to her loving husband of 59 years, she was preceded in death by two sisters; and two brothers.
Visitation was held Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 12:00-1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
Funeral service followed at 1:30 p.m. in the Northwest chapel. A private burial followed.
A reception was held in Spartanburg on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in the Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to National Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131, or to a local Humane Society of one's choice.
