Parents are Arthur Mormon North and Mary Caroline Blakey. Nelma is the youngest of nine children. The family moved had moved to Midway by 1930 and Nelma grew up there. She married William James Savage on October 17, 1945 in Park City, Utah. They became parents to two sons.

Former Park City resident Nelma North Savage, 60, died June 19 at her home.
She was born September 29, 1926 in Charleston, Utah, to Arthur M. And Caroline Blakey North. She married William J. Savage, October 17, 1945 in Park City. The marriage was later solemnized October 17, 1966 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She is survived by her husband, William; sons, Blaine and Dennis, daughters-in-law, Laura and Joyce; and seven grandchildren; brother, Garth North; sister, Rintha Burns, and Sheila North, considered as close as a daughter.
Services were held Tuesday, June 23, at the Granger Stake Center. Burial, Midway Cemetery.
