ANDERSON, Mo. — Gertrude B. Thompson, 83, Anderson, died at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gravette (Ark.) Medical Center after a long illness. Mrs, Thompson was born April 24, 1900, at Decatur, Neb. She had lived in the Anderson area since 1954, moving here from Vancouver, Wash. She was a member of Tri-City Community Church at Pineville. Surviving are her husband. Henry Thompson; three sons, Carl Thompson of the home, the Rev. Clifford C. Thompson, Pineville, and Lloyd "Matt” Thompson, Joplin; three daughters, Viola Flory, Stella, Naomi Benningfield, Anderson, and Evelyn Webb. Vancouver; 20 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Tri City Community Church. The Rev. Dean Royce will officiate. Burial will be in the Lanagan Cemetery. Friends may call after noon Friday at Ozark Funeral Home, Anderson, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.
