Caleb Lyght
Caleb Lyght was born Jan. 13, 1887, at Chesterville, Ill. He died June 6, 1935, at Kalispell, Montana, age the age of 78 years. On April 15, 1874, he was married to Miss Nancy Jane Elless. To them were born 11 children, five of whom preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his departure his widow and four sons, Charles Edward of Decatur, Neb.; W. Harry of Portola, Calif.; Henry Wiley of Sawyer, N. H.; two daughters, Mrs. Herman Luckenbill of Kalispell and Mrs. Henry Thompson of Kalispell, with whom he was making his home at the time of his death; 26 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; one sister and one half-sister, both living in Nebraska.
The early part of his life was spent in Illinois, Iowa and Nebraska. He took up a homestead in North Dakota in 1901, living there until 12 years ago when, with his wife, he came to Kalispell where he had made his home since.
He lived a good Christian life, and at the time of his death was a member of the Nazarene church of Kalispell. provided by: cara (47072115)
