OBITUARIES
Ella C. Small
Funeral services for Ella C. Small, 91, were Wednesday at Waggener & Campbell Chapel, with Dr. C. L. Clifford of the Methodist Church officiating. Adah Chapter 17, Order of Eastern Star, held ritualistic services.
Burial was in the family section of the Conrad Memorial Cemetery, with Thomas Horsman, Meade James, Lee Cassel, Gus Hoppe, Arthur Kirk and Peter Siderius as pallbearers.
Ella Catherine Small was born at Gentryville, Spencer County, Ind., on July 23, 1865. She was the daughter of John Allen and Nancy Ann (Bruce) Chinn.
On Nov. 6, 1894, she was married to Charles Holmes Small. They were the parents of four children.
In March, 1907, the couple came to Montana and located at Somers. They made their home in Somers until 1939, when they moved to Kalispell. After the death of Mr. Small on Oct. 20, 1951, Mrs. Small moved to Portland, Ore., in 1952, to make her home with her daughters. She died there Aug. 26.
She is survived by her four children, two sons, Robert Small of Bridgeport, Wash., and Sidney Small of Seattle; and her two daughters, Mrs. Elocia Pierson and Mrs. Jennie Christiansen, both of Portland, Ore.; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
